Bundle dyeing is a contemporary natural dye technique, which allows for the direct transfer of colours and prints from flowers and plant materials, using a simple fold, bind and steam technique.
It is a beautiful multi-sensory experience of colour, frangrance and soft sensual textures which creates the most mesmerising repeat patterns over silk and other fabrics.
This gorgeous workshop will guide you through the process step-by-step, while providing all the information and details to make the most of this beautiful craft technique and make the most beautifully dyed fabrics.
You can gather your own materials and flowers to use with the workshop or you may prefer to order a bundle dye kit with all the materials included that you may need for the class. You may also wish to supplement the dried flowers and dye extracts in the kit with your own locally harvested flowers, weeds and kitchen waste, for which a list of suitable varieties will be suggested and provided.
You will automatically receive upon booking, a video link to watch and follow along step-by-step.
You can pause or re-watch at your convenience as many times as you wish, with no time limit.
