We gather to enjoy this beautiful place and learn about local tropical pigment-producing plants, with the guidance of natural dye specialist and author, Babs Behan. She brings her expertise on natural dyeing for textiles and arts, together with a love for herbalism and traditional crafts.

Our hands will craft items imbued with the plants of this land, their herbal qualities & the intentions we give to them.

Within the container of the most wonderful retreat centre on the island, with modern contemporary decor & beautiful peaceful grounds which you won’t want to leave.

Let the days slip by next to the pool, hang out and chat over a fresh coconut, go for a herbal steam or join your choice of a plethora of retreat offerings running throughout the day & evenings.

If you do have the desire to leave the retreat centre, you can find a whole world of soul nurturing activities and fun across the island, from ecstatic dance, to tantra schools, muay thai kick boxing and scuba diving to so much more.

    9am - Breakfast, goodbyes and departure. We ask that everyone has packed and vacated their room by 11am. You are welcome to stay at the retreat centre and enjoy ther facilities and meals for the rest of the day

TRIP DETAILS:

The retreat will be hosted from within our own private retreat villa, located within a wider private retreat centre. You will have full access to the retreat centre offerings and weekly schedule, outside of our private retreat program, along with access to the swimming pool and spa area, restaurant with vegan buffet meals, 24/7 hot and cold drinks, filtered water and relaxation areas.

The retreat is located in the Surat Thani district of Koh Phagnan. Full location details will remain private and be shared once the booking process is complete.

Payment Plans:

Pay in three instalments, with the balance due by December 8th 2024

Retreat bookings require an initial £50 holding deposit before arranging an introductory phone call.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is taken within 2 weeks of making the booking. Two further payments are taken to complete the payment.

The balance of the payment is due 90 days prior to the retreat event.

Luxury Dormitory

About our dorms - they are exclusive ones - 6 persons max, 110cm very thick mattresses, A/C, Lockers, 2 private toilets and bathroom for each room

 
 

Cost Includes:

  • 5 nights accommodation: Please choose your preffered type of room option for the price outlined above

  • 4 1/2 days of workshops and experiences

  • All Meals: Nutritious vegan meals onsite at our retreat restaurant, including brunch and dinner. Additional food is available all-included from the restaurant buffet throughout the hours 9am-1pm and 6pm-8pm. There is a fridge located within your room, where you can store food and drinks for later

  • Materials: All necessary craft materials are included, (however there will be an option to purchase additional items for an extra fee)

  • Amenities: Herbal steam room and cold plunge pool open morning and evening hours. Swimming pool open 24/7. Relaxation areas within the retreat centre. Weekly retreat centre schedule of workshops, classes eg yoga, meditation, tai chi, breathwork, movement etc.

  • Support: We will be hosting the retreat within a retreat venue, with reception staff available for your support throughout the day, and via phone during night times after 8pm. In addition, the BotanicalInks team is available to answer questions and assist with trip preparations prior to the experience

  • Collection taxi: Scheduled group minibus from Thong sala ferry port to retreat centre

 


 

Additional Expenses:

  • Additional Food and Drinks Menu: Botanical Inks does not cover the cost of items from the additional food and drinks menus (not included in the buffet such as smoothies and desserts - these must be settled at the end of your stay on your room tab

  • Massages and other spa treatments - these must be settled at the end of your stay on your room tab

  • Travel Expenses: Airfare to and from Koh Samui. (Standard return airfare from London to Koh Samui is estimated at around £600-800). We reommend Southall Travel for flexible payment options from the UK. Return ferries from Koh Samui to Koh Phagnan (Estimated £6 each way). Taxi from retreat centre upon departure Estimated £10)

  • Personal Spending Money: For personal shopping and any other additional activities

  • Personal Travel Insurance: It is a requirement for all participants to have personal travel insurance

 

 

Getting There and Away:

Guests should plan to fly into the Koh Samui airport. It is advisable to arrive a day prior to taking the ferry to Koh Phagnan, to allow time to rest.

A member of our team will meet you at Koh Samui’s Maenam Pier ferry port on the afternoon of March 8th at 2pm to guide you to our location. We will take the 2.30pm Speedboat Ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan with Lomprayah. This is a direct Ferry and takes 20 mintures to complete. There is one departure per day from Maenam Pier to Thong Sala Koh Phangan, which leaves at 14:30 and arrives at 14:50. A minibus will meet us at the Thong Sala, Koh Phangan ferry port to take us to our retreat location, 10 minutes drive away.

Alternatively, you can make your own way to the the retreat location, arriving anytime from 8am onwards on March 8th. You will have access to the meals, pool and spa all day and can check in to your room from 2pm.

We will have an early dinner at 6pm, followed by an intro talk and opening circle in our private retreat group space at 8pm.

If you choose to take your own private transportation to the accommodation, please ensure your arrival time is before 4pm on the first day to ensure attendance at our opening dinner and group session.

 

 

WHO IS THIS RETREAT SUITABLE FOR?

For anyone who is looking for a nourishing retreat, to rest, re-energise, feel inspired and have lovely time.

You may be an artist/creative or someone who struggles to connect to creativity. An experienced natural dyer or a total beginner.

Suitable for solo travellers, travelling friends, singles, couples, all genders and sexualities, younger and older and all nationalities.

The retreat will be spoken in the English language only.

The acommodation is accessed via steps, so please get in touch before booking to discuss access requirements.

All meals are vegan and we will not offer meat or dairy products during the retreat.

In some cases this retreat may not be a suitable option. Please consider the points outlined here.

 

 

Other Info:

  • Visa: A visa is not required for citizens of the United Kingdom if traveling to Thailand for under 30 days. You will be issued a 30 day visa waiver upon arrival. If you are a citizen of another country you can check visa requirements here

  • Passport Validity: In order to enter Thailand, your passport must be valid for at least 90 days following your departure date. You must also have at least one blank page in your passport

  • We strongly advise that you wait for the event to be confirmed before booking your flights and other travel arrangements. We will aim to confirm the event by September 30th at the latest and as soon as possible
