Sacred Root Robe

Sacred Root Robe

Sacred Root
Dyed by hand with mangrove root, Sacred Root holds the deepest burgundy of earth and tide. Each robe is imbued with the spirit of the mangroves — a living ecosystem where roots breathe between land and water, where colour rises from the soil itself.

Handcrafted in Devon from organic, unbleached cotton and sewn with organic thread, this piece is made for a true soil-to-soil cycle. From seed to stitch, from plant to pigment, every element honours the earth — designed to one day return to it.

Sacred Root is more than a robe: it is a story of colour, liminal intertidal spaces and the quiet rhythm of Nature’s cycles.

Adorn and wrap your body in a soft sheath of nature’s living colours,

and feel their herbal properties close to your skin.

COMPOSITION/ SOURCING

Hand dyed by Babs Behan, using ethically harvested Mangrove root from her travels to Bali in 2025.

The softest organic double gauze cotton in its natural, unbleached state.

Hand sewn in Devon using a natural cotton thread,

to complete the soil-to-soil material sourcing and composition of this robe.

So that once it’s useful life cycle is complete, it can be returned to the soil as biological nutrients, rather than pollutants.
